Tuberculocidal and Mycobactericidal Tests
Tuberculocidal and mycobactericidal disinfectants are important in high-risk sectors to prevent tuberculosis and other diseases.
Mycobacteria including M. tuberculosis are more resistant to disinfection compared to vegetative bacteria and enveloped viruses due to the waxy layer protecting the microbe. Mycobactericidal activity can be evaluated using suspension test (phase 2 step 1) or carrier test (phase 2 step 2 test). Select one of the tests below to learn more.
EN 14348:2005
EN 14348 is a phase 2 step 1 suspension test to evaluate the tuberculocidal and mycobactericidal activities of your disinfectant for medical area.
EN 14563:2008
EN 14563 is a phase 2 step 2 carrier test to evaluate the tuberculocidal and mycobactericidal activities of your instrument disinfectants for medical area.
EN 14204:2012
EN 14204 is a phase 2 step 1 suspension test to evaluate the tuberculocidal and mycobactericidal activities of your disinfectant for veterinary area.
